All is working fine now. Apparently what was causing it *was* the fact that I was trying to do a DOS install from a partition that was greater than 512MB. I enlarged the 1meg partition on the Maxtor drive (slave in 2 drive setup) to 30meg then ran the install from there. Didn't feel like downloading the entrie thing again to install over ppp (not that I can get it too work quite yet anyways <g>). So basically this can act as a work around I guess until it gets fixed or something. Sure...ya lose some storage that you originally allocated for FreeBSD, but hey...29megs on a 540meg drive aint bad compared to the time you save over the ppp install option. So far it's handling my bad sectors just fine but I haven't really done alot of disk writes yet. Hasta! mailto:cjay@nwlink.com http://www.nwlink.com/~cjay http://www.future-city.com
