take a look on my other mail about pppd and see ´man pppd´ and ´man chat´

the handbook/faq is also as *.ascii ... but in the ports there is lynx,
arena, chimera, mosaic (youu´´ll need Motif) and netscape. try one of
them ...

go to your favourit bookstore and search about O´Raily books. There are
nutschell-books, some about X or using a shell, good is ´Unix user tools´
There are lot´s of books about Unix, and most of them are good for
beginners, ask your book seller ...
