Am currently trying to get xntpd-3.5f or 5.86-8[5|6] to work on this machine.
v3.5f simply loads and dies, while 5.86 loads, however when doing a ntptrace,
the machine itself never gets beyond stratum 16, which indicates that its
not synchronized at all.

The biggest clue comes when you do a 'tickadj':

gamera# /usr/local/bin/tickadj -t 9999 -a 5 -s

No dosynctodr kernal variable

Apparently there is no 'adjustment' variable in the kernel that xntpd
can use. I've compiled xntpd using the standard configure script and it
makes very cleanly.
Is this something that just simply will need a kernel patch and/or a
recompile or what?
