When Matlab is started on the FreeBSD machine using a display other than its console, we get the following error: TRANS(SocketINETConnect) () can't get address for fennel.ee.cornell.edu This error is a result of matlab trying to obtain the address of the local machine to display the Matlab Graphics window.
