If you enable "extended translation" in the Adaptec configuration, you have to tell the installation program that you don't use the standard translation (size_in_mb x 64 x 32) but the extended one (size_in_mb/16 x 255 x 64, from memory I could be wrong). If you don't use the extended translation then the default should be good. ahc0 <Adaptec aic7880 Ultra SCSI host adapter> rev 0 int a irq 10 on pci0:2 ahc0: Using left over BIOS settings ahc0: aic7880 Single Channel, SCSI Id=7, 16 SCBs (ahc0:0:0): "SEAGATE ST32550N 8303" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd0(ahc0:0:0): Direct-Access 2033MB (4165272 512 byte sectors) (ahc0:1:0): "HP 2.13GB B 50-0482 0482" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 sd1(ahc0:1:0): Direct-Access 2033MB (4165272 512 byte sectors) and # /dev/rsd0c: type: SCSI disk: sd0s1 label: flags: bytes/sector: 512 sectors/track: 32 tracks/cylinder: 64 sectors/cylinder: 2048 cylinders: 2032 sectors/unit: 4163552 -- Ollivier ROBERT -=- Eurocontrol EEC/TS -=- Ollivier.Robert@eurocontrol.fr FreeBSD FAQ: <URL:http://www.FreeBSD.org/FAQ/>
