One reason Unix is a state of the art operating system is that it does keep changing to add functionality, and that's going to piss off a few who liked the old ways. Remember that the real enemy is Microsoft; those who have done for operating systems what the british did for sports cars: sleek and sexy on the outside, mis-engineered unreliable crap on the inside. The more we bicker between ourselves, the more IS managers figure that there's really no difference between OS's and go out and buy NT for us to work on. Then, you're really stuck with a lemon.
