I have no trouble writing 150MB out onto a DC6150. Are you absolutely sure that the drive is not in actuality a 5099EQ? It sounds like the drive is in "low density" mode, the drive would switch into this mode to read tapes written on older 65MB and 90MB drives. Rexxon bought Wangtek, and they had a fax-back system that had the documentation for these drives. If it is still in operation you can get the data from that.
