From what I've heard in the past, the TCP/IP implementation in
Solaris 2.x isn't as fast as in Solaris 1 aka SunOS 4.
This hearsay is maybe from the times of Solaris 2.3 or 2.4, but
perhaps it has still it's quirks.
BTW, how's the TCP/IP perfomance between BSD 4.3 and 4.4 ? Do I
remember right, that there was a small decrease of performance or
was it only between Sol. 1 and 2 ?!
