My home box is in this position.  All that was needed was to install
the smailcf source package (unless, of course, you have the full source
tree installed), then pretty much copy from the FAQ for the .mc file.

Works like a charm.

The info in the FAQ also includes a setup with both UUCP and SMTP, and
it's not any great deal more difficult.
