According to HP tech support, the internal drive is EIDE, which means that the SCSI doesn't matter quite so much. However, they said that the SCSI controller is an AMD PCI one. Well, AMD's web site mentions a PC SCSI II chip AM53C974A, but AMD tech support doesn't think that it emulates any other (more popular) chipset.
