I pulled down the BSD version of tar.gz from Netscape, and unbundled everything into /usr/X11R6/bin just because that's already in my path. (The nls/ files of course went into the appropriate directory instead.) The requirement for the java_30x file is not its location, but that you must have the CLASSPATH environment variable pointing to it. I set that variable in my startx script, so it is available to all Xterms when Xwindow comes up. Exit Xwindow, set CLASSPATH, and restart Xwindow.
