Yes, for <$200 get the Adaptec 1542b without any DOS software,
then scoop up one of the Sun "shoeboxes" readily available
on the net, or from such used dealers as Minicomputer Exchange
in Sunnyvale. The Sun boxes have the Emulex MT02 with a 60meg
tape drive, and seem to sell (with tape only) for about $200.

Plug in the SCSI driver done by Julian available on ref.tfs.com,
also take a look at the st.c patch currently in ~bjork on
ref. and your duck should quack :).
