Jordan's got some ideas about it, i've also thrown a few mails around exchanging opinions, but that's currently already all about it. We need a Mr. Upgrade, really! The current update strategy that's provided by sysinstall is merely a stop-gap measure to have at least anything at all, but we know it's far from being perfect. Go and read the mailing list archives (for freebsd-current) right after the utmp.h changes have been done (about two or three weeks ago). You'll be able to find Jordan's ideas there. So you know why we made two so heavily different releases rather adjacent in time. -- cheers, J"org joerg_wunsch@uriah.heep.sax.de -- http://www.sax.de/~joerg/ -- NIC: JW11-RIPE Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
