OK, is the thing Microsoft sold as a gateway between MSmail and SMTP
real also?  I don't have one, but I understand there are a few
around.  Since you used an unusual disfunctional example of a mailer that
could accept 10 messages in parallel but not with multple RCPTs, I suggest
that you locate one of these puppies and see what happens if you hit
it with 10 messages in parallel to round out your experience a bit.
