Anyway, somebody recently posted a kit that also allowed to operate such a Zip drive on (Free)BSD. I dunno how it developed further though. If there's enough demand, and enough people who claim the code works, and somebody who's going to _maintain_ the stuff, there's no reason for not integrating it into the FreeBSD source (or make it a port/package, if appropriate).
