Check out Mutt. It has an POP interface, is fast, supports mail threads
and many more things. It is still beta software although it works
pretty well.

Install XFree86 3.2, the xterm is color compatible. If you want all Xaw
program to use Xaw3d, then put Xaw3d as Xaw or recompile xterm explicitely
with -lXaw3d.
