A Mac user can obtain some good Unix OSes as well, like Mach-10, MkLinux, NetBSD (68k), etc. : polled opinions of users, found out that most AUX users aren't really : interested in Unix, used that to claim they don't need Unix : functionality and returned to maintain an underlying kludge as an OS. I agree. Unix is kludgy, klanky, pissy, and ugly, which is (in turn) perplexing, entertaining, and realistic to the user. I don't trust an OS without a prompt, non-kludgy or not. : If we ("real" Unix users) want applications, we better prepare to : emulate well or provide functionality that is attractive for : application writers (no change for Unix and GUI apps for now).
