Alas, it got deleted early enough that I don't know what the shooting
is about.

Does anyone here remember GOD IS DEAD?

It seems, as I heard this story, that an old OS (Multics? I forget who
told me this one) ran on a machine with a bus signal called Go On
Demand.

Some smart ass put a message in the kernel to warn people of the case
in which

Go On Demand Internal Signal Doth Excrete Ambiguous Data.

Needless to say, it showed up at a customer site.

No one said it was hard. The question is: is it acceptable to believe
that the sort of person who would be spelunking around in the kernel
sources would have a laid-back sense of humor?
