  I've gotten lost, quick... I've installed 2.2-Beta on a DX-4 100, a
machine that previously ran 2.1-Release without a hitch. After Novice
installation of 'X-User', the system reboots, prompting to remove the
floppy, and I get booteasy's 'F1: FreeBSD' and 'Default F1'. I press F1 or
let it default and it returns with 'F1: FreeBSD' and 'Default F?' in a
continuous loop. Yes, that's a question mark where the 1 (one) is supposed
to be. I figure that there's a problem with the kernel, but don't exactly
know how to check that with the fixit.flp... I've also tried upgrading
from a short-n-sweet 2.1.6-Release, but it fudges the kernel and I get the
same boot loop.
Am I missing boot blocks? Is the kernel MIA? How do I check wd0 with
the fixit.flp to make sure the system is bootable? I've been able to
complete an fsck of wd0 with the fixit.flp, but it still doesn't boot.
Anyone? Please?
