Has anybody succeeded in making Microcom PCMCIA modem to work under
FreeBSD 2.2 beta with PAO-961215? I've tried couple combinations in my
/etc/pccard.conf (including the default entry that *should* work with
most modems) No success so far. My most successfull atempt was with
following entry in pccard.conf:

# Microcom TravelCard 28.8P
card "MICROCOM, Inc." "TRAVELCARD 28.8P DATA/FAX MODEM"
	config 0x33 "sio2" any
	reset	1000
        insert echo TravelCard Modem inserted
        remove echo TravelCard Modem removed

I have (beside others) following lines in my kernel configuration file:

controller crd0
device pcic0 at crd?
device pcic1 at crd?
device sio2 at isa? port "IO_COM4" tty irq 5 vector siointr

The 'pccardc dumpcis' command returns (for this card in slot 0):

On startup I'm receiving following error messages:

pccard["pccards PID"]: Card MICROCOM, Inc."("TRAVELCARD 28.8P DATA/FAX
MODEM") matched "MICROCOM, Inc." ("TRAVELCARD 28.8P DATA/FAX MODEM)
pccard["pccards PID"]: driver allocation failed for MICROCOM, Inc.

The card works without problems under Micro$hit Windoz 95. My EtherLink
III card works without problems under FreeBSD (sorry, I don't have any
other modem cards to try). Oh, I almost forgot, the machine I'm talking
about is Toshiba Satellite 200CDS.

I would appreciate any help, pointers, clues....

Thanks,
