You could enable > 1 Gb translation.  The problem with the 1024 cyl
boundry is a system BIOS limitation, not a FreeBSD (or Linux)
limitation.  Lilo or the FreeBSD bootmanager may also be able to handle
it for you if it's on the MBR.

A caveat with using > 1 Gb translation, you may have to reformat your
SCSI drive.
