Just got done installing 2.1.6 over ftp.

When adding packages, I found that *many* of the packages that came up
in the index were not actually installable -- repeated attempts always
failed (while other packages installed with no problem).

Some of the afflicted packages are:

  jdk
  kaffe
  wine
  gnats
  xboard
  gnuchess
  xrisk

...and many more (I can supply a list of at least another ten that will
not install).

These won't install from ftp.freebsd.org, ftp2.freebsd.org,
ftp3.freebsd.org, or ftp.ca.freebsd.org. Again, all these packages are
listed in the menus and are selectable, but installation always fails.

Also, the ports collection seems to be missing many of the same pieces
of software -- plus others as well!

Anyone know what's up? I need some of these things fairly soon and
would prefer not to have to port them all myself...

Richard
