I don't know how to do this in NetBSD (or any other Unix), but you the
"printout" looks like you need to configure NetBSD in a way that makes it send a
CR _and_ an LF to the printer.
That is, if I got you correctly and the printout will look like:
line1
line2
line3
.
.
.
If it is:
line1
line2
line3
.
.
., instead I have no idea
