I have a VAX 8250 that is showing some weird errors. The hardware is:

8250 cpu
TU81 hanging off a DWBA
RA81 and RA60 hanging off a KDB.
4.3bsd Tahoe release

The drives are on the BI bus, not the unibus. Here is the problem:

When trying to access the tape drive, either reading or writing a
tape, after a variable amount of time, the machine will crash with a
machine check 10. According to DEC, a machine check above 6 is
reserved. Can anyone tell me if the TMSCP driver under 4.3bsd Tahoe
is broken or is there something else I should be looking at?
If anyone else has had a similar problem, please let me know. I have
been pulling my hair out over this one.

Thanks,
Jim
