There are a couple of things though: 1. To format the drive, the best thing you can do is find the patch for HD SC setup on one of the major archives, and patch a copy of it for use with non-apple drives (I'll mail you one if you have trouble with it. Just e-mail me personally). 2. One you reformat the drive under "Minimum Mac, Max a/ux" you won't have the eject problem anymore. You do have to be careful that the 5.01 version of ZIP Tools doesn't try to update the driver by default 3. Format the drive with the physical data (use the second set) in the help pages on www.macbsd.com. I can't find the URL right now. 4. Make sure that you boot the mac from the internal drive with the zip disk in the drive before you boot and without a system folder before you run mkfs. 5. After you run mkfs, you can copy a system to the drive, but make sure to copy the monitors control pannel also. 6. You should probably copy booter over too, and put it in the startup items folder. 7. The monitors control pannel can be set to b/w once, and every time you boot from the zip it'll be in b/w. If you have a problem, or find out something new, gimmie an e-mail. I'm sure I've forgotten something of vital importance, but can't remimber now. Good luck. It took me three days to do it in my spare time, but I hope this speeds you up a lot. -- Jeremy Williams jeremyw@usa.net
