I agree.  I finally got tired of waiting and just ftp'd the 2.2-BETA
distribution over the past couple of days.  I do want to purchase the
CD-ROM as my show of support for the FreeBSD Project and one of its
sponsors, but it shouldn't take that long to come out with a release on
CD-ROM.

id didn't drop the ball with Doom when it was initially released.  Maybe
Walnut Creek needs to investigate another CD-ROM replication service or
seek multiple subcontractors for this.

I agree.  The last of an x.y distribution should be made available on
CD-ROM for those who want to stick to the stable distribution.  Perhaps
a limited replication run of 2.1.6 is in order.
