I agree. I finally got tired of waiting and just ftp'd the 2.2-BETA distribution over the past couple of days. I do want to purchase the CD-ROM as my show of support for the FreeBSD Project and one of its sponsors, but it shouldn't take that long to come out with a release on CD-ROM. id didn't drop the ball with Doom when it was initially released. Maybe Walnut Creek needs to investigate another CD-ROM replication service or seek multiple subcontractors for this. : Please don't kill the CDROM release of 2.1.6. Based on your discussion : of 2.2 vs. 2.1.6 (being the last and most stable of the 2.1-era : releases) we decided to use 2.1.6 on a development project and would : really rather have it available on CDROM. I agree. The last of an x.y distribution should be made available on CD-ROM for those who want to stick to the stable distribution. Perhaps a limited replication run of 2.1.6 is in order. -- /* | Spam violation - e-mail dumped... ** Internet: jca@accessnv.com | Don't blame me, I didn't vote for Clinton. ** jca@anv.net | Intel is the word for 'errata.' */
