Unless you have a good reason to keep using ncsa's httpd 1.5a, why don't you just switch to Apache httpd, de facto successor of good old NCSA httpd? Version 2.1 comes with version 1.0 and both binariy and source version of the latest (1.2b2) is available at: http://www.apache.org/ Dan the Man with Too Many Sites to Manage My Own.
