I changed my motherboard (uprgraded from an AMD 486DX2-66 to
a Cyrix P166+) and have been unable to run wine since. I have
the line

   options USER_LDT

in my kernel config file (wine was running before the change)
but I still get the error

   i386_set_ldt: Invalid argument
Did you reconfigure the kernel with "options USER_LDT"?

The FreeBSD newsgroup has some discussion on the fact that
the kernel will not recognize the P166+ as a 586 class
CPU (I knew this from experince ...) I am wondering if
the "slight" differences between CPUs from different sources
might be at the root of the problem.

I am running FreeBSD-2.2-ALPHA and wine-97.01.01. Has anybody
had a similar experience or any suggestions on how to
correct the problem ?

Thanks
