Why ? = =Enoch Wu Knews creates temporary files in /var/tmp . Check if the directory is writable by you, and make it writeable if it's not. Or the partition where /var/tmp resides may be over 90% full, which prevents non-roots from writing to it. Check your diskspace with df(1) (first section of the manual -- `man 1 df'). Would be nice if knews did a bit more of error reporting, by, at least, using strerror(3) ... Ever tried to run knews with no DISPLAY env-variable set? -mi -- "Windows for dummies"
