Bear in mind that Linux kernel x.y.z, where y is an odd number, is _expected_ to be unstable. It is a _development_ kernel; things _WILL_ break. If you need stability, stick to a.b.c, where b is even. Naturally, the old saying about "not using 1.0 of any product" sometimes tend to hold... (in the case of 2.0, I understand that Linus was getting frustrated at the lack of testing, so pushed out a kernel that wasn't as fully tested as it could have been.) -- "Okay, I've created my \etc directory. What files do I put into it?" Lusers. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em...
