Another, if you're using FreeBSD 2.2-BETA or later and I once asked this but there was no response. Is there any chance of IP-Filter being integrated into the 'official' kernel sources? I am somewhat wary of patching the kernel (especially as people mentioned problems on FBSD versions other than the one for which patches were intended). I do not use IP-Filter now (the address deficit here is not acute just yet) but I am really interested in its flexible packet filtering capabilities (firewall).
