Message-ID: <1992Dec10.230149.4100@arizona.edu> Date: 11 Dec 92 06:01:49 GMT Reply-To: cable@telcom.arizona.edu Organization: University of Arizona Lines: 17 Hi, Im seriously thinking of putting up a Unix partition (either Linux or 386BSD) on my 386sx. The only problem is that I have an Intel Satisfaxtion 400 modem which requires a device driver in order to work. Without the following line in my config.sys: DEVICE=C:\FAX\SATISFAX.SYS IOADDR=0350 my modem is as dead as a doorknob. I talked to a tech over at Intel and he said that a device driver could be written for the modem to allow it to work under Unix, but that Intel had no plans to do so. So I was wonderring if anyone has written a device driver (or knows of someone who has) for the Intel 400, or is their any other way to get it to work under Unix. Any info would be appreciated. :) Adam Cable :) cable@telcom.arizona.edu cable@hacks.arizona.edu cable@cs.arizona.edu
