It's really weird to report it for a fixed disk >drive that is continously spinning all the time. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I'm still working with a drive that had the strange behaviour of spinning down without reason, but usually at night when I was sleeping and when something was running on it. This drive reported the ``Logical unit is in process of becoming ready'' message when it was spinning up again. (Since I regularly backup that crazy drives it works flawlessly again :-) ) So it isn't really wired, but can point us to braindead or damaged hardware. As most SCSI hard disks can be stopped from running by some SCSI command, I can imagine that the drive reports that message, too, when it is restartet. But I haven't tried this.
