NOOO ! ;-)

Totally unnecessary !

Simply boot with a FreeBSD boot floppy, go into the partition editor
and perform simply a (W) Write operation.

This will leave the configuration as it is and simply re-write the
FreeBSD boot manager.

Did that myself several times after Windows 95/NT installation.
