In other words, if I have the CD, do I still need to get a newer xemacs via ftp? While useing pkg_add on the cd xemacs-19.14 package, it dies with: can't invoke tar pipeline Anyone else have this problem? Any problems if I simply untar it? It seems to work so far. Which brings me to my other question. Is there any gotcha's to worry about when installing -current packags or 2.2-packages or whatever on "older" releases? perl5.003 for instance. Or using newer ports?
