I just completed my first FreeBSD install, 2.1.6-Release. During the install, there was a whole slew of packages that couldn't be found and thus weren't installed. That might have something to do with several of the problems I'm having getting up and running. Should I install an earlier release before I go too much further? At the moment, I'm just trying to get email set up. Elm was one of the programs that didn't install. When I fire up Pine, I get gibberish in place of all the highlighted menu items. It appears the emulation is off or some such thing as that. Anyone got any clues? Thanks. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Kinney Baughman Appalachian State University | | Lecturer Boone, NC 28608 | | Dept. of Decision Sciences Office Phone: (704) 262-2044 | | Dept. of Interdisciplinary Studies krb@xx.acs.appstate.edu | | Navigating the Internet Syllabus http://www.acs.appstate.edu/~krb | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
