FreeBSD is supposed to be compatible with the OnTrack disk manager, but of course, i've never seen that animal myself. OTOH, FreeBSD only needs the BIOS to boot, and thus isn't restricted that much once it is running. So if you can dedicate your entire 2nd drive to FreeBSD, try to get rid of that OnTrack stuff there, and it will definately work. (The root filesystem must reside below the 508 MB watermark then, but that's really easy to get.)
