Yep, let's set the way-back machine to 1995, when we see Dear Russel here spouting the VERY SAME tired rhetoric! Almost word for word! Right down to the suggestion at the end that John should work on Linux instead! Russ, babe, ya gotta work on your material a little, just between you and me. It's going a little stale! And hey, Russ, you know what? I would be *happy* to see FreeBSD as a footnote in the history of free software. I think that's all of us can dare to hope for, in the long term. Maybe in 20 years there will be Linux "classic car" style clubs for you to join, and you can hang out with the other old-computing enthusiasts with their reproduction PCs. I'd rather hope to be using a HAL 9000, myself. He's already late for his birthday! :-) Getting back to the present, FreeBSD is doing just fine. Sometimes being #1 isn't all it's cracked up to be, and at least no one is posting FreeBSD "astrological calendars" all over the net. :-) -- - Jordan Hubbard President, FreeBSD Project
