The only reason for a FreeBSD emulator that I know of is if someone would *for some reason* downgrade to Linux. One reason that we have the Linux emulator (and EXT2FS) is to ease the upgrade to FreeBSD from Linux. Actually, the emulators are fairly easy to write given a template -- just wondering why Linux can't do it. John
