I would also like to back up software that I probably won't keep on my HD and so I'd like the possibility of running it from some other media. A CD writer although expensive, probably out of my reach for a while, seems to be the best option. I don't really like the idea of just using another large hard disk (I'd like to keep backups separate from my computer). What I'd like to know is if there is any software available for writing to CD. Is there any software that can write the different formats available (like audio) and could I make a BSD bootable disk. I'd like to be able to do this all from BSD and not have to use any other operating system. e-mailed replies would be much appreciated. Tim.
