The guy is trying to shortcut the problem of creating /usr/home accounts and their attendant disk storage requirements. Perhaps he wants to set up accounts for mail only, so people can POP their mail directly from /var/mail. And, what's wrong with that? It's a valid request, isn't it? from a commercial and user-service standpoint? It's a means of providing mail-only service. Look, isn't one of the targets of FBSD to cut through the crap? Isn't FBSD a configurable OS? Isn't the purpose of an effective OS to provide the services, and ONLY the services required of a commercial enterprise, or of any enterprise that uses it? If that is the requirement? Please, Wunsch, agree with me that FreeBSD is not a jihad. Confirm that the intent is to provide serviceability, functionality, utility, and superior performance. Isn't that what the project is all about? mc J Wunsch (j@uriah.heep.sax.de) wrote: : Jesse Monroy <jmonroy@wco.com> wrote: : : > I'm checking to see if any of the packages for FreeBSD can have : > virtual clients. People have tried to : imitate you since, but they failed miserably. :-))
