The cost is an hour or three to generate and install, 0 : dollars. At that price you can use both. Or, if you want something that runs under X, and gives you a pretty display, try LyX. Still beta software, but very, very usable. There's also StarOffice, available from sunsite (also beta.) -- With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC1925.
