Of course, one should always abide by the terms of the license that one has. I don't consider companies using BSDL'ed code in appropriate ways as abuse. Some forms of use that you consider to be abuse, I consider proper use of BSDL'ed code. I think it is great that companies can use the code with more freedom, and that adds value to the code for those people. The BSD license is also not absolute freedom, but doesn't have the most unpleasant encumberances of GPL. John
