I really like the ADTRAN TAs, the newer (than mine) doing mppp just fine to current equipment which supports it. I have the older L1 Express model TA, but as I'm running both sides of my link it's no problem - I just use two FreeBSD PCs with standard 16550A based serial ports on each end and two of these TAs in async bonding mode and I get a pretty solid 115.2K link. With overhead and such I don't get far beyond 10.5K/sec in FTP transfers, but for such a cheap solution it was more than worth it. It's also been an absolutely rock-solid, easy to install solution (I *really like* the ADTRAN TAs) for over a year now, and I leave the line up 24/7. -- - Jordan Hubbard
