I've run into this problem in both 2.1.5 and 2.1.6.  Intermittently, my
terminal will start issuing spurious characters, along the lines of:

~[17~[17~[17~[17~[17~[17~[17~~[17~[17~

or something similar.  I'm inclined to suspect a conflict between my
terminal and mouse (PS/2 style), but I have no idea how to cure it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
