The Adaptec 2842 does run fine under NetBSD-current (Noriyuki Soda and I wrote the necessary front-end glue). If your motherboard pretends to have an EISA bus (i.e. contains an EISA bus BIOS signature), NetBSD-1.2 _should_ recognize the VLB card. Unfortunately, the VLB (really, ISA) front-end was written too late for inclusion in NetBSD 1.2. -- Jason R. Thorpe <thorpej@bayarea.net>
