You know, it's a lot easier to argue with someone when you feel free to
slice-and-dice his article in order to remove most of his points.

You seem to have a problem with English comprehension.  The word "generally"
indicates that one is making a general statement and that there may be
specific cases which don't fit the rule.

Remind me how many platforms Linux runs on one more time?

Remind me how many other operating systems it can emulate?

Remind me how many lines of my text you snipped out in order to make it seem
like you had a quarter of a clue?
