In this moment, I have no access to my 386bsd system, but if the problem
occurs with codrv, there will be a fast fix for the current version.
However, I doubt, that the problem will occur exactly as described, because
codrv in X-Windows mode does not access the /dev/console device, like the
original pccons did, but an independent /dev/kbd, which cannot be locked
by closing. The effect of killing may influence the behavior of the shell
that started xinit, but there are some modifications in codrv which regenerate
the console attribute (TIOCCONS settable) and thus should not hang a
process on /dev/console. Anyway, I'll check it.
