Hi All
I used to have this a while ago and someone suggested I look in messages
and I found the messages below.
Soneone else said to make sure I was using the right root servers, so I
ftp'd the file fresh ftp.rs.internic.net and all was well for months. This
was running 2.1.0RELEASE. In the new year I did a fresh install of 2.1.5
and just copied passwd and user data etc.
Feb 7 10:37:04 pcmgate named[69]: ns_req: no address for root server
Feb 7 10:37:06 pcmgate named[69]: ns_req: no address for root server
However the problem came back again.
If I kill named and restart it all is well again.
TIA
