I rarely see a PS/2 mouse on anything other than a laptop or an IBM

However, I believe that PS/2 is nothing more than an overgrown serial mouse..
I've got a logitech trackman, and it comes with a little adapter for the 
PS/2 port on the trackman.. if you get one of those, X will support it 
serially straight out..
I'd kinda like my system to have a PS/2 to free up a comm port, but hey, 
I can just buy more ports.. maybe I can get a PS/2 port card :)
